Winter Reading Challenge Finale
The Museum of Us is a proud partner of the San Diego Public Library for the 2026 Winter Reading Challenge, Every Picture Tells a Story! Visit the San Diego Public Library website for information on how to participate and earn prizes, including a *free pass to the Museum of Us.
*Free passes earned with the Winter Reading Challenge are provided by the San Diego Public Library branches while supplies last, and do not include the complimentary membership offered with regular admission tickets.
Celebrate the Winter Reading Challenge Finale with Us on Residents Free Tuesday at the Museum on January 27, 2026. The finale event and activities are open to all visitors, and participation in the Winter Reading Challenge is not required.
Featured activities include:
- Book Swap Surprise! To participate in the free book swap, bring a gently used book that deserves a new home and leave with a new-to-you book of your own. Supplies will be provided to wrap your book and write a brief description on the cover. Books will be added to a share table, and guests are welcome to take a book home.
- Free arts and crafts in the Museum rotunda
- Read aloud in Monsters! Clubhouse at 11 a.m.
