The first of two images in a set of graphics about cultural anthropology, with dark blue text on a green-to-orange gradient background. The text on this first image reads, "What is cultural anthropology?" and has a circular speech bubble with an image of the "Maya Peoples: Heart of Sky, Heart of Earth" exhibit.

Celebrated on the third Thursday in February, Anthropology Day celebrates the field of anthropology and its many disciplines. As a cultural anthropology museum, we look at the ways culture affects individual experience to learn about the knowledge, customs, and institutions of a people.

From the power of secrets to the effects of colonialism, our exhibits and programs illustrate the intersection of our shared human experience. We hope to create a space for all to reflect and learn about personal, cultural, and societal topics – things that make us all human.

Experience humanity through immersive exhibits at the Museum.
